Product Description
Antique 107 is the muscular member of the Weller family, the same wheated Buffalo Trace recipe bottled at 107 proof instead of 90. The extra strength changes the whiskey completely, pushing oak and spice forward and giving it the backbone that wheated bourbon is sometimes accused of lacking. It has become the line's connoisseur pick for exactly that reason.
Brown sugar, vanilla and dark cherry lead, with cinnamon, leather and a long oaky finish that arrives with genuine heat. Neat is fine for the experienced; a large cube or a splash of water opens it beautifully. It also makes an exceptional old fashioned, where the proof survives dilution.
