Product Description
C.Y.P.B. stands for Craft Your Perfect Bourbon, and the recipe came from drinkers: Buffalo Trace ran a public survey on mash bill, age, proof and warehouse, then distilled and bottled the winning answers. What came back was a wheated bourbon at 95 proof, and the fact that it remains hard to find suggests the crowd chose well.
Honey, vanilla and soft toffee open it, followed by orange peel, baking spice and a clean oak finish. The proof is generous enough to carry flavor but never harsh. Drink it neat to see what the survey produced, then try it in a highball with soda, where it is unexpectedly good.
