Product Description
Few wines announce their origin as plainly as Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, and Whitehaven has been making a benchmark version for three decades. The grapes ripen slowly under long southern-hemisphere days and cool off sharply at night, which is the whole secret: full tropical flavor with acidity still intact. Stainless steel fermentation keeps it clean and direct.
The nose jumps out of the glass, grapefruit and passionfruit with a green herbal lift. The palate is dry and zesty, closing crisp and refreshing. Drink it cold and young rather than cellaring it. Excellent with shellfish, salads, chicken, or a plate of soft cheese on a spring evening.
