Product Description
Among Kentucky's celebrated annual antique releases, William Larue Weller is the wheated bourbon, the one that goes out uncut and unfiltered at barrel proof. It takes its name from the Louisville merchant whose recipe swapped wheat for rye, and the Fall 2022 edition is a single yearly drop allocated to almost nobody.
Barrel strength makes it enormous: dark caramel, cherry cordial, chocolate, honey and toasted oak, all carried by the wheat's roundness so the heat lands soft rather than sharp. The finish goes on and on. Neat, a few drops of water, and nothing else competing for attention in the room.
