Product Description
Finishing wine in a spirit barrel is a trick borrowed from the whiskey world, and it suits Chardonnay far better than it has any right to. After fermentation the wine rests in barrels that previously held rum, picking up a layer of sweet spice and toasted sugar that an ordinary oak program cannot produce on its own.
Full and creamy, with baked apple, pineapple and vanilla, then a clear thread of brown sugar, coconut and molasses across the finish. Serve chilled but not ice cold, with grilled shrimp, pork, roast squash or anything glazed off the grill. For Chardonnay drinkers who want something genuinely new to taste.
