Product Description
Double Oaked takes fully matured Woodford Reserve and moves it into a second new barrel, deeply toasted and lightly charred, for a further stretch that draws out everything sweet held in the wood. It is the same bourbon given a second education, and one of the most convincing barrel-finished whiskeys on any shelf.
Noticeably richer than the standard bottling, with dark caramel, maple, baked apple and marzipan over toasted oak and a long, sweet-spiced finish. Best neat or over one big cube, where the extra wood has room to unfold. It also builds a formidable Old Fashioned. For bourbon drinkers who lean dense and sweet.
