Product Description
Woody Creek Distillers works out of the Roaring Fork Valley in Colorado, at an altitude where the water runs cold and clean and the mash behaves differently than it does on the Kentucky flats. Colorado straight bourbon is a young tradition, and distilleries like this one are still deciding what it means.
Expect a brighter, more grain-forward whiskey than the Kentucky standard: toasted cereal and honey at the front, vanilla and cinnamon through the middle, then a crisp, dry finish with restrained oak. Good neat and very good in an Old Fashioned. For drinkers who collect bourbon from outside the usual two states.
